The Problem

Users of fintech platforms like Trade Republic and N26 suffer from account freezes, technical glitches blocking fund access, and completely unresponsive customer support for weeks or months. Customers are trapped with no access to their savings, receiving only automated bot replies while their urgent issues remain unresolved, forcing them to manually file complaints with regulators without guidance.

Potential Solution

A SaaS platform that automates the entire recovery process: generates and files complaints to relevant financial regulators (BaFin, etc.), tracks all communications across email/chat/social media in a unified dashboard, and auto-escalates unresolved cases via Twitter/X and LinkedIn. It provides evidence organization tools, complaint templates, and monitors resolution progress with automated follow-ups until funds are released.

Why Now?

European fintech adoption has exploded (Trade Republic 4M+ users, N26 8M+ users) but regulatory oversight and customer service infrastructure hasn't kept pace, creating a perfect storm of account freeze incidents and desperate users seeking solutions.

My quickbooks payments and checking account were shut down this morning at 6 am and it was turned back on today at 1 pm.
Hello! Today i woke up to email notifications that all of my QBO accounts were shut down and my fresh deposit was going to have to be held in my quickbooks checking for 180 days. There was no exceptions and this was a "business decision since quickbooks is low risk." No one could give me a straight answer why, no one would help me access my funds, and as a single mom, paid once a month, human i started to panic. I scoured the internet and reddit and was finding little success, and lots of comments of them holding money for even longer then 180 days. I called in twice after my brief 6 am call to try and escalate, i took it to the "level 2/3" tier supervisor for disputes and issues of this nature and both times was met with, exceptions arent made, appeals arent allowed, and there is no chance you will get your money sooner. In fact the second time she led the conversation with "did I not speak to you already this morning?" As if she doesnt see my whole monthly income currently in limbo, but zero empathy. Thats when I noticed a trend of people trying to contact The office of the President and I quickly found this [fillable link](tsp.app.intuit.com/.../oop). I attempted a 6 am hail married it and filled it out. No one really updated how things ended for them other then the occasional confirmation they were still in limbo. Within 2 hours the kindest, most empathetic human from that office emailed me and an hour later she called me to try and help understand what was going on, and how she could possibly help even if it meant just letting me get my funds. She could not make promises but she would try. At around noon, I sent an email just trying to figure out if i would need to find the money again to sustain me this month. A call about 30 minutes later came, the system was wrong, I am in compliance, all of my accounts are reactivated, and my money is now in my brick and mortar bank. I post this in case anyone else finds themselves in this situation, here is a start to finish. I can not promise that is how this will end for you, but please reach out to the Office of the President. They were really what saved the day here.

Come avete risolto? Grazie in anticipo! Edit 1: Il saldo alla chiusura era 0.00 ma poi è arrivata una imposta di bollo a conto chiuso

Anyone familiar with W‑8BEN form?
Is it mandatory to fill in this document if you invest in American stocks or ETFs? And does the broker handle all the U.S. tax administration once you submit it?
