The Problem

Traders consistently fail to execute their strategies live despite being profitable on demo. The issue isn't knowledge—it's psychological discipline. They panic, move stops, exit early, and chase entries under pressure, creating a gap between their planned strategy and actual execution that costs them thousands.

Potential Solution

A SaaS tool that connects to brokerage APIs to monitor trades in real-time. It learns your strategy rules, detects deviations (e.g., moving stops, early exits, missed entries), provides instant alerts, and analyzes your behavioral patterns to identify specific psychological weaknesses. It acts as an objective accountability partner that enforces discipline rather than teaching new strategies.

Why Now?

Retail trading participation has exploded post-2020, with millions of new traders facing identical psychological barriers. Existing tools focus on post-trade journaling, but there's a clear market gap in real-time intervention and behavioral pattern recognition that directly addresses the demo-to-live performance gap.

Looking for basic advaice to automate trading
Hello, I have a trading idea that is 99% likely to be dumb and lose me money. I have come back to this idea many times over the last year and would like to test it out with a very small amount of money that I am happy to lose. To test my idea I would like to set up a semi automated process that will be able to do the following: 1. Buy specific amounts of specific stocks 2. Sell after a specific gain 3. Sell after a specific loss 4. Capture gains/losses over time I am sure these are basic requirements but I would like to run multiple automations in parallel to test my idea and ideal set it up and leave it to run for a few weeks or until i lose all my money. I can do a bit of python but ideally this will be contained within a platform to avoid having to stand up any infrastructure. Any advice would be appreciate. Thanks

Risking your MLL
Scalper here. 5 min. Does anyone else feel anxiety around your SL? I use prop firms and I trade gold. Thank god the volatility hold is over. But I usually get 50k accounts, MLL is 2k. Each trade I make is about 1250. I kinda learned around the 1:1 ratio, but have reduced my SL to a particular wick given my set up. Max drawdown is about 760. BUT It’s no telling what price sits at on my SL when charting if I use the previous wick. Sometimes that’s a -2560 SL. It makes sense in theory to risk an evaluation knowing I usually make about half of the profit goal in one trade. I’m finding it difficult physiologically to place my SL at areas where I could lose my account in one day. Now those trades usually play out in my favor as well it’s just the unpredictability of it. Luckily I haven’t been one of those people who has spent more on evaluations than I have made from live accounts. Maybe I’m overthinking it. I have lost accounts in one day, I just hate that feeling. Ask any trader I’m sure that’s still just the reality of prop firms and the market but I don’t know . Now hold on bc I’m sure everyone will say, GET A BIGGER ACCOUNT. That’s not exactly how I want to go bc the goal shouldn’t be to ‘be able to lose more’. Any advice helps

Big losses…
Hey guys, I've been trading options for the last three years. My strategy and system work well, but I always let losses run and don't put stop-loss orders on them…. Every morning before starting I say I'm going to set the stops and then place the order, but I never do it… Thanks in advance for any help or advice you can offer, is anyone has been through this same situation in the process.
