The Problem

People seeking financial advice for debt, loans, retirement, and education planning struggle to find advisors who aren't motivated by sales commissions. They waste time filtering through commission-based advisors who recommend products that benefit themselves rather than their clients, leading to distrust and poor financial decisions. The challenge is especially acute for complex situations like debt management, loan refinancing, and retirement planning where unbiased guidance is critical.

Potential Solution

A platform that exclusively connects users with vetted, fee-only fiduciary financial advisors who are legally bound to act in clients' best interests. The service includes transparent fee comparisons, conflict-of-interest screening, advisor matching based on specific needs (debt, loans, retirement, education), and clear pricing upfront. Users can compare advisors, view credentials, read verified reviews, and book consultations directly through the platform.

Why Now?

Growing distrust of commission-based financial advice and increased awareness of fiduciary responsibility has created demand for transparent financial guidance. The rise of fee-only advisors and regulatory scrutiny on financial conflicts of interest makes this the right time for a trusted marketplace solution.

Need to find someone new?
My wife and I working with a dude from NWM and we’ve done business with him before. We have two 401k accounts there from previous employers, and an insurance policy. We’re currently re-engaging him because we’d like to start investing in our kids future education (529). Every piece of advice he gives me is layered in borderline fake benefits. Recent email: -start Roth IRA with me versus exploring employer (empower) or other avenues (free fidelity account). We’re encroaching on income limit to start Roth (240k?) -life insurance for me -Increase wife’s life insurance to match mine -rollover my wife’s 401k (weird situation where my wife has 130k from an ex employer but it’s still managed through her related current employer). NWM management fee 1.3% I feel like his advice is for his benefit versus mine and I have to fight and research my way through all the BS. Where’s a guy supposed to find financial advice from a non salesman? Does that exist?
