Hey everyone, small win I wanted to share 🙂 I built a Chrome extension called [HoverQR](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/hoverqr-%E2%80%93-instantly-scan/mjgheejcnmceaaobpilbpmehlpkbigmp?utm_source=item-share-cb) that lets you scan QR codes instantly just by hovering over them on your screen (websites, images, videos, PDFs, etc.). No phone needed. I initially made it because I personally found it annoying to grab my phone every time I saw a QR code on my laptop, especially in YouTube videos, presentations, or emails. After launching, I added a few more features: * Scan QR directly from screen hover * Generate Free QR codes (URL, text, Wi-Fi, email, etc.) * Download in PNG/SVG * No signup required Today, someone upgraded to the paid version. It’s just one customer, but honestly it feels huge. As a solo builder, you never really know if anyone will actually pay for something you made. This feels like validation that the problem is real and the solution makes sense. If you’re working on a side project: keep shipping. It takes longer than you think, but small wins come. Happy to answer any questions about building Chrome extensions or what worked / didn’t work during launch.

I have a regular job with a pretty good salary, but waking up, and seing email, that someone bought my little Chrome extension feels insanely nice. It’s not a big amount or anything, but it gives me this weird motivation boost and happiness. **Short story**: about a year ago I was juggling 4–5 projects at the same time and my tabs were a complete disaster. I tried a bunch of tab organizers, but everything felt either too weird, too bloated, or just didn’t fit how I work. And I didn’t want to leave Chrome. So I ended up making my own [extension](https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/tab-manager-myspaces/jgnmoggiaklbkpgcjfmjfalhannpifad). I still have no clue how to properly promote it, but honestly the fact that I managed to build something like this and at a quality I’m actually proud of! makes me really happy. Just wanted to share that little win, i guess we all need time by time little wins.
Please share: - What it does - How many people are using it - Were you able to monetize it? I want to make one but don't know what kind of things people actually find useful.
