Privacy Policy

Account information. When you create an account, we may receive your name, email address, authentication provider identifier, profile settings, and subscription status.

Payment information. Our payment providers process payment card details. We receive transaction identifiers, subscription status, plan, and limited billing details. We do not store full payment card numbers.

Usage and technical information. We may collect IP address, browser or client type, device information, request timestamps, pages or features used, tool names, structured tool arguments, response status, and diagnostic data needed to operate and secure the service.

Communications. We collect the information you include when you contact us, request support, or respond to a survey.

When you use Trend Seeker through ChatGPT, Codex, Claude, or another MCP client, that client sends the structured arguments needed for the selected Trend Seeker tool. These can include a search query, category, idea identifier, filter, or result limit. Trend Seeker does not need the rest of your conversation unless the client places part of it in a tool argument.

We return idea research and, when requested, short excerpts and links to public source material. The client provider separately controls how it processes your conversation and tool results. Review that provider's privacy policy and workspace settings before use.

API keys identify an account and must be kept confidential. Public plugin access can be used without an API key and receives the anonymous free-tier response.

We use information to provide and maintain Trend Seeker, authenticate accounts, apply access and rate limits, process subscriptions, answer support requests, prevent abuse, investigate security incidents, understand service performance, and improve our data and features.

We may also use information to comply with law and enforce our terms. We do not sell personal information or use private API or MCP inputs to build advertising profiles.

We share information with service providers that run infrastructure, databases, caching, authentication, payments, email delivery, analytics, monitoring, and customer support. They receive only the information needed to provide their service and are bound by contractual or legal duties to protect it.

We may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets. We do not share personal information with data brokers.

Account and profile information is kept while your account is active. After an account deletion request, we remove it from active systems within 30 days and from routine backups within 90 days, unless we must retain specific records for security or legal reasons.

API, MCP, security, and diagnostic logs are generally retained for up to 30 days. Support communications may be retained for up to three years. Transaction and tax records may be retained for up to seven years where required by law. Aggregated or de-identified statistics that no longer identify a person may be retained longer.

Trend Seeker analyzes content from public sources such as online communities, app stores, review platforms, podcasts, job listings, and launch directories. We do not claim ownership of third-party source content. Source material remains subject to the rights and terms of its original publisher. We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No system is completely secure. Trend Seeker and its service providers may process information in countries other than your own, subject to applicable transfer safeguards.

You can update or delete account information through account settings. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export personal information, or object to certain processing. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.

Trend Seeker is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.
