The Problem

Travelers spend countless hours crowdsourcing itinerary feedback on Reddit because they're unsure if their plans are realistic, well-paced, or budget-appropriate. They struggle with destination sequencing, transit logistics, accommodation splits, special situations (flying with infants/pets), and validating budgets across cities. Generic travel sites don't provide the personalized sanity-checking that complex multi-stop trips require.

Potential Solution

An AI-powered itinerary planner that generates, validates, and optimizes complete travel plans based on user preferences, dates, group composition, and budget. It cross-references real flight/ferry/train schedules, hotel pricing, visa/pet-import requirements, and crowd-sourced traveler data to flag pacing issues, suggest accommodation splits, and estimate realistic daily spend. Includes specialized modules for edge cases like infant travel, pet relocation, and multi-base trips.

Why Now?

Post-pandemic travel demand has surged while travel agents have largely disappeared, and LLMs now make personalized itinerary validation at scale finally feasible. Travelers increasingly turn to AI tools but current offerings (ChatGPT, Google) lack real-time logistics data and validation.

San Rafael Argentina to New Jersey USA with cat - Advice Needed

Hi all, I have a friend who is trying to escape an abusive situation in San Rafael, Argentina. She has a cat she would like to bring with her with no travel papers (as of right now). She has a friend in New Hampshire who has offered her a room. She was planning on flying to Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey because they (supposedly) allow you to fly with pets with no papers. But in order to leave Argentina, she needs a CVI, correct? If someone could please outline how she could go about leaving with the cat, how long it would take, and if she should just go through the process of getting the necessary papers to fly elsewhere if she already has to go through the process of getting a CVI, it would be greatly appreciated! Any help or explanation is appreciated, we are both very confused.

NYC Budget - SPG

Hey everyone I'm heading to NYC in July for 11 days (10 full days) and trying to figure out if my budget is realistic. Hotel and flights are already paid/sorted, so it's just spending money for the actual trip. My budget looks like this: \- Food and drinks: \~$2,480 \- Experiences and activities: $930 - $1,240 \- Transport (subway, cabs etc): \~$390 I want to be able to eat well, hit some museums and cool experiences, and do a bunch of fun stuff without stressing over every dollar. Is this realistic or is there anything I'm missing? Also happy to hear any tips for what I absolutely can't miss! 🗽

Third Japan trip: does this Kyushu-focused itinerary make sense?

Hi all, I’m planning my third trip to Japan and would like a sanity check on the current itinerary. I’ve already visited most of the classic route across two previous trips: * Tokyo multiple times * Kyoto twice * Osaka * Nara * Hiroshima * Miyajima * Kanazawa * Nikko * Kamakura This time I want something more focused and lower-friction: fewer bases and less long-distance train travel. Current plan: * **Tokyo - 2 nights** Arrival buffer * **Kumamoto - 5 nights** Main nature/driving base. Planning to rent a car for 2-3 days. Want to visit Mount Aso, Kusasenri, Daikanbo, Minamiaso, Takachiho Gorge, maybe Kurokawa Onsen, Kumamoto Castle * **Nagasaki - 3 nights** Considering this instead of Yufuin/Beppu because I’m worried those might feel too boring for multiple nights. Nagasaki seems more interesting * **Fukuoka - 3 nights** Yatai, Hakata/Tenjin, maybe Dazaifu or Itoshima * **Tokyo - 1 night** Final buffer Main questions: 1. Does the current split make sense as a Kyushu-focused itinerary? 2. Is 5 nights in Kumamoto enough for Aso, Takachiho, Kurokawa/Minamiaso, and a weather buffer? 3. Is Nagasaki a good alternative to Yufuin/Beppu, or would you still include one of those? Trying to avoid adding bases just because they look good on paper. Thank you!

Mexico itinerary advice?

Hi all, want to do cancun (chichen itza, isla mujeres, possibly a tulum day trip) and was thinking 7 to 10 days trip is it worth combining with mexico city as well? (Slightly put off by flight in middle of a trip in case it feels too much travelling and just from reading online that mexico city might get upset stomach?) Any advice appreciated! I'm not sure if will necessarily go to mexico again or anytime soon after this so wanting to make the most of it but also don't want the trip to end up exhausting either. (Have done flights within country before eg cappadocia and Istanbul and found it ok though). Or if any other suggestions apart from mexico city to combine with cancun? Another reason for cancun is that there are direct flights there so just less hassle to get to. If just do cancun with the day trips would be 7 days and if combine with mexico city would be 10. Thanks!
