The Problem

Power users juggle multiple AI models daily, each with different strengths, but none of them share context. Every time users switch from ChatGPT to Claude to Gemini, they start from zero — re-explaining projects, copy-pasting conversation summaries, and rebuilding context from scratch. This fragmentation wastes hours per week and breaks workflow continuity.

Anyone else find switching between AI tools super fragmented?

i use a bunch of AI tools and agents every day, and man switching between them feels... messy. tell something to gpt and claude acts like it never happened, each tool in its own little bubble. that means repeating context, rebuilding workflows, redoing integrations, and it eats time. i was thinking, is there a 'link/plaid' for ai memory? one place you connect your tools once and it handles the rest. imagine a single MCP server that manages shared memory and permissions so gpt can remember what claude knows, and all agents use the same tools. sounds simple but also kinda tricky, right? permissions, security, who owns the memory, etc. curious if others feel this friction, or if i'm missing an obvious product. how are you solving it now? glue code, internal db, or just suffering like me? or is there already a good 'memory hub' i should be using? totally open to weird setups, i'm just tired of repeating myself.

Does switching between AI tools feel fragmented to you?

So I use a handful of AI tools and agents every day, and man it feels fragmented. I'll tell something to GPT, then jump to Claude and it's like starting from scratch every time. Every tool lives in its own little bubble, which means repeated context, broken workflows, and extra work. Been wondering if there's a 'Link / Plaid' for AI memory and tools - connect once, manage memory in one place. Idea: a single MCP server that handles shared memory and permissions so agents actually share what they know. Then GPT could remember what Claude was told, tools get connected once instead of over and over. Feels like that would remove tons of friction and actually make these agents helpful, not annoying. Anyone using something like this already? Or are you just building hacks/scripts to cope? Curious how others are solving it, or if I'm missing a product that already does this.

Does switching between AI tools feel fragmented to you?

Yeah, switching between GPT, Claude, and a bunch of agents feels... fragmented, right? I use like 4-5 tools every day and telling the same thing to each one is the worst. Every tool lives in its own bubble so workflows break, context gets repeated, and I waste time re-integrating stuff. Was thinking, is there a 'Plaid for AI memory' - connect your tools once and manage memory and permissions centrally? Like a small MCP server that handles shared memory so GPT can see what Claude knows, and agents all plug into the same toolset. Feels like that would kill a lot of friction, but maybe I'm missing something obvious. How are you folks handling this now? Any hacks, middleware, or actual products that work? If there's already a solid solution please point me to it, I don't wanna reinvent the wheel. Also open to hearing about privacy/security tradeoffs, that's my main blocker.
