The Problem

Hourly and service workers often have little visibility into whether tips, wages, payroll dates, tax deductions, and payslips are being handled correctly. When employers delay salary, overreport tips, withhold payslips, or require questionable clock-in methods, workers are left guessing and may not know what evidence to keep.

Potential Solution

A mobile app lets workers log shifts, expected pay, tips received, payslips, tax documents, payment dates, and clock-in requirements. It automatically flags discrepancies, builds an evidence timeline, estimates tax exposure, and generates jurisdiction-specific summaries workers can use when contacting payroll, accountants, labor agencies, or legal support.

Why Now?

More workers are paid through fragmented systems including POS tips, gig-style transfers, biometric time clocks, and cross-border payment apps. Rising awareness of wage theft, payroll transparency, and worker data privacy makes a self-serve compliance tracker timely.

How does it actually calculate the hours worked number, and does it pull from my actual salary or some default I need to set up?

One thing that would really help our team is a quick monthly summary view that shows overtime hours and any balance discrepancies at a glance, maybe with a small alert badge if something looks off before we export the legal report. Would save me the manual check each month.

Pay slips not being provided from Work
May 28, 2026

I have been working at my current employment for three months now as a chef, in the past I have been messed around regarding private businesses not paying my tax and basically making off with the tax I was supposed to pay (I was like 18 and had no concept of tax etc) I have asked my current employers to provide me with pay slips on four separate occasions to no avail with the excuse of they are 'waiting for an accountant' and I am worrying they are not paying my tax or national insurance. I just don't know what you else to do as I do really like the job as it suits my personal life really well with good life/work balance, I know the main advice will be to go to ACAS or HMRC but let's be honest if I report them I will just get fired as I am on a zero hour contract ATM. Any help would be appreciated.
