The Problem

Freelancers across industries struggle to manage booking holds, track hours worked, and reconcile payments with clients. The current approach of texting hours back and forth creates friction, disputes, and payment delays. Both parties lack a shared source of truth for time worked and money owed, leading to awkward conversations and administrative overhead.

I’m exploring a simple English + Spanish hours + payments tracker for hourly workers in US/CA. Would people actually use this?

I’m trying to understand whether clients and hourly workers actually want a shared place to track hours and payments. If you hire someone (cleaner, sitter, tutor, dog walker, etc.), would you ever use a simple shared app to see hours and what’s owed? Or is texting hours back and forth still the easiest path? I’m also curious: if your sitter or dog walker showed you all their hours in one spot, would that make payments smoother, or does it feel unnecessary in real life? Not promoting anything, just trying to get an honest read on what feels natural vs. what feels like overkill.

Working on a web app to help my homies and improve my industry.

I work in VFX and Motion graphics and in my industry the “pencil hold” is pretty standard. It’s frustrating as a freelancer to handle all these holds and manage bookings and then keeping track of payments is another beast. I’m very close to launching a site that I hope will help the homies not only manage but make all of our lives easier. Curious if you guys have any feedback or suggestions. Criticism is welcome.
