The Problem

Building realistic AI voice calling systems requires complex integration of speech recognition, voice synthesis, LLMs, and telephony APIs. Developers waste weeks wiring together services like Twilio, ElevenLabs, and Deepgram, while non-technical users can't create personalized calling experiences at all. Current solutions are either too technical or lack the character-driven personalization that makes calls engaging.

Potential Solution

A visual builder platform that abstracts away AI voice infrastructure. Users select pre-built persona templates (Santa, receptionist, brand ambassador), customize conversation flows via drag-and-drop, upload contact lists, and schedule calls. The platform handles all integrations, conversation memory, multi-language support, and provides a dashboard for analytics, transcriptions, and call recordings. Includes API for custom integrations.

Why Now?

AI voice synthesis has reached near-human quality, LLMs can maintain coherent multi-turn conversations, and telephony APIs are mature. The rise of personalized marketing and labor shortages in customer service create urgent demand for accessible voice automation tools.

I built a free personalised Santa letter generator for kids — santasletter.ai

Hey r/SideProject — solo founder here. I've been quietly building this for the past few months and finally feel ready to share it. It's called SantasLetter.ai. Parents fill in a few details about their child; name, age, what they've been up to, their Christmas wishes and it generates a warm, personalised letter written in Santa's voice. Every letter is unique to that child. It's completely free to read. There's also a premium illustrated PDF ($9) and a real printed letter posted to your door ($29). Tech stack: Next.js, Claude API, Stripe, Supabase, [Lob.com](http://Lob.com) for physical mail, Resend for email, Vercel for hosting. Would love feedback from the community — especially on conversion, pricing, and whether the product feels polished enough to market aggressively heading into Christmas season. Try it free at [santasletter.ai](http://santasletter.ai)

Santagram - personalised video messages from Santa

Hi, I built \[Santagram\](https://www.santagram.art) over the last 3-4 days of my Christmas holidays. I had an absolute blast doing it. It uses a few LLM APIs, Elevenlabs for audio and some ffmpeg scripting for putting the video together. I didn’t have time to include something like Heygen for lipsync but i will play with that. It’s been so fun seeing my kids, family and friends enjoying it. Now I shared it on hacker news and product hunt and a few random people are using it. I left it a bit too late for this Christmas to launch it at the right time but the time pressure also helped push me to actually finish a project for once and just ship it. There's a kids mode and an adult mode (which roasts you like crazy). Check it out and if you like it, please share with your family and friends! Merry Christmas!

I created a video call page with Santa AI Avatar

I created a simple app that lets your kid call Santa AI via video call. Parents could use this webpage to have a 5 min or 10 min call with Santa who will speak to their kid. Very very realistic and could support a dialogue, ask questions, and even tell if there is a gift for a kid. I use the HeyGen AI avatar, and I DO NOT record any video. Would you show this to your kid? Could you give me some feedback? [CallSantaTonight.com](https://CallSantaTonight.com?ref=r_sideprojects)
