The Problem

Small businesses and solo founders rely heavily on WhatsApp to communicate with customers but lack affordable, easy-to-use tools for bulk messaging, automated replies, and lead tracking. Existing solutions like the official WhatsApp Business API are expensive and complex, while unofficial automation scripts risk getting numbers banned. Users are stuck manually sending repetitive messages, missing follow-ups, and cobbling together fragile workarounds.

A whatsapp-first CRM for small businesses

Hi everyone, this might be a long post, but very useful. Please bear with me. Why? 1. Most small businesses in India run on Whatsapp (customers prefer it, 90%+ open rate, best channel to cross-sell and upsell, direct contact with customer, seamless end-to-end workflows) 2. Enterprise solutions like Wati are super expensive, built for bigger teams, and not really useful for small businesses. Market solutions charge 2500+ platform charges + 20% on Meta's whatsapp message costs. So let's say your whatsapp marketing cost for the month was (4500, you'd actually pay 5625 rs + 2500 platform costs 3. Whatsapp business has multiple limitations (broadcast lists, missed messages etc) What is it? Think Whatsapp business but better. We are official Meta Tech Partners, building on top of the official whatsapp API. Current features: 1. Send bulk campaigns 2. In-app purchases (catalog to final purshase) 3. Contact management 4. Run affordable whatsapp marketing campaigns 5. Authorize customers through OTPs 6. Send all formats of Media 7. Unified team inbox 8. Send messages in 16+ Indian languages 9. Automated replies 10. Complete analytics dashboard In next two months, we plan to introduce super easy catalog management, auto replies, shopify/wix/insta/facebook integration for seamless coordination, AI-enabled automatic replies. Goal: Basically we aim to simplify sales, customer support, marketing for small business owners on Whatsapp itself. FYI: The product is already in use by 2 small businesses (60 Cr+ ARR) Most important part: Pricing: 499 per month. That's it (No extra charges per team member, or any markup cost on your usage). However, the product is absolutely free to use for our beta users. Drop a comment if you'd be interested. I will schedule a quick demo and set up for you. Thank you :) If you guys can think of any extra features, please let me know .

WhatsApp-first admin tool for small service businesses - worth testing?

I’m validating a small side project idea for trades/local service businesses. The problem I’m looking at is simple: customer messages, quotes, invoices and follow-ups are often scattered across WhatsApp, phone calls, notes, spreadsheets and memory. The idea is not another dashboard. More like lightweight admin help around the place where a lot of the work already happens: WhatsApp. For anyone who has built for small/local businesses, what would you test first? - whether the pain is actually strong enough - whether WhatsApp is the right entry point - whether owners would trust it with quotes/invoices - whether the real buyer is the owner, admin person, or bookkeeper No link yet. Just trying not to build around bad assumptions.

Built a WhatsApp-first CRM for small teams (looking for feedback)

Hey everyone, I’ve been working on a side project called **BetaxLab** — it’s a lightweight CRM built for businesses that mainly operate on WhatsApp. The idea came from a simple problem I kept seeing: Small teams were managing leads in **WhatsApp chats + spreadsheets**, and things kept slipping (missed follow-ups, no tracking, no ownership). Most CRMs felt: * Too complex * Not built for chat-first workflows * Overkill for small teams So I built something simpler. **What it does:** * Capture leads directly from WhatsApp chats * Simple pipeline (New → Interested → Closed) * Follow-up reminders (manual + basic automation) * Manage multiple WhatsApp numbers * Basic lead scoring (configurable) **Who it’s for:** * Service businesses * Local businesses * Small agencies * Anyone closing deals over WhatsApp **What I’m trying to validate:** * Is “WhatsApp-first CRM” a strong niche? * What features actually matter vs noise? * Would teams switch from spreadsheets to this? 👉 [https://betaxlab.com/](https://betaxlab.com/) Would really appreciate honest feedback—especially from people building or running small teams. What would make you actually switch to something like this?
