The Problem

Independent contractors and small businesses rely on accounting products for expense capture, reconciliation, invoicing, and tax records, but report rising prices, inaccessible features, incorrect balances, failed imports, and unusable mobile workflows. Switching is risky because historical transactions, recurring entries, receipts, account mappings, and CPA access must remain intact. Many buyers therefore keep paying for software they distrust or manually reconstruct records after failures.

Potential Solution

Offer a fixed-price migration and bookkeeping continuity service that exports existing records, removes duplicates, reconciles every account to source statements, preserves receipt evidence, and installs a simpler replacement workflow suited to the buyer's actual needs. Follow the migration with optional monthly reconciliation and a standardized tax-ready package for the buyer's CPA. The operating model is service-first, using established bookkeeping tools rather than building another accounting application.

Why Now?

Repeated price increases, forced product changes, unreliable transaction matching, and degraded mobile workflows are creating active switching intent. Buyers still need defensible records for taxes, making a verified migration more valuable than a basic data export.

047. QuickBooks vs Excel Spreadsheet: Which Should You Use?
The Boutique Bookkeeper Show | Know Your Numbers & Prepare For Taxes
S1

Now, there are probably dozens of different bookkeeping softwares out there, but my favorite and the one that I'm most familiar with is QuickBooks Online. And I'm not going to withhold my opinion from you. My personal and professional opinion is that you should be using a bookkeeping software like QuickBooks from day one or at least from your first full year in business. And I'll get into that, you know, a little more a little later on, but today's episode is going to specifically focus on the pros and cons of using a spreadsheet for your bookkeeping versus using QuickBooks Online. I'm not sure if any of you have ever seen the show how I met your mother.

Xero's "upgraded" app is a massive backwards step. It is now so hard to use that the workaround is costing us $000's. We are actively looking to move our accounts to a system that actually works.

Their price used to be the selling point. but now after raising prices every year, and doubled over 3 years, they no longer have any selling point. Planning to move over to QBO, And I’m telling all my friends on social media to do the same.
