The Problem

Auto loan borrowers struggle to find better refinancing rates because they must manually research dozens of lenders, navigate geographic restrictions and membership requirements, and compare complex offers across different terms. The process is time-consuming and confusing, especially determining which lenders they're eligible for and which offer provides the best total savings versus monthly payment trade-offs.

Potential Solution

A marketplace platform that aggregates real-time refinancing rates from banks, credit unions, and online lenders nationwide, automatically filtering for eligibility based on location, credit score, and loan details. The tool shows personalized rate estimates, calculates total interest savings across different term lengths, and streamlines multi-lender applications through a single interface, eliminating manual research and helping users identify the genuinely best offer for their situation.

Why Now?

With auto loan rates fluctuating significantly and over 100 million Americans carrying auto debt averaging $20,000+ per loan, even small rate improvements generate substantial savings. Credit score improvements and market rate changes create constant refinancing opportunities that borrowers currently can't efficiently capitalize on.

Would there be a downside to refinancing my auto loan for a slightly better rate?

I bought a car recently and financed with Toyota financial services at 4.94%. My credit union is offering 4.75% for auto loan refinances. I haven't even made a payment on my loan yet and the savings would be marginal but I'm thinking it would be nice to have my loan at the same place I do my banking. My current loan has no prepayment penalty as would the credit union loan. Would there be a downside to refinancing with my credit union?
