The Problem

Founders, agencies, and small sales teams waste time researching static prospect lists whose members may fit the target profile but have no current reason to buy. Higher-converting opportunities appear in hiring activity, funding announcements, problem-related conversations, referral requests, and competitor discussions, but monitoring these fragmented sources manually is slow and inconsistent.

Potential Solution

Provide a managed prospecting desk that monitors selected public sources for buyer-specific triggers, verifies each signal, identifies the appropriate contact, and delivers a concise outreach brief. Start with human research and qualification rather than a broad software platform, allowing each client to define which events indicate genuine purchase intent. Deliver approved opportunities into the client's existing CRM or a shared spreadsheet, with optional context-aware message drafts.

Why Now?

Buyers increasingly reveal needs through public hiring, funding, and social activity while conventional cold lists remain saturated. The growing number of fragmented public channels makes focused human monitoring valuable to small teams that cannot staff a dedicated research function.

We stopped sending one lead magnet to the whole ICP. Reply-to-booking went up 40%.

Most of our outbound personalization was a first name and a PDF that would have worked for any company in the ICP. Replies were fine. Meetings were not. We started building the asset around the specific account. Their offer, their competitors, something that had changed in the last 30 days. The email became a cover note. We also stopped treating ICP as a reason to send. Fit plus a buying signal stayed. Fit with nothing happening got cut. Reply-to-booking moved about 40%. Raw reply rate barely did. If you run B2B demand gen or outbound: are you still using one gated asset for the whole list, or have you tried account-specific ones? Did it change meetings, or just make the workflow slower?

What’s the biggest gap in your outbound strategy?

For anyone running email + LinkedIn outbound: Are you actually getting results, or are you just getting more activity? More emails sent. More LinkedIn touches. More replies. More bounces. More dashboards that look busy. But at the end of the month, how many **qualified meetings** actually came from it? Where do you think the biggest gap is? * Finding the right prospects? * Getting the messaging right? * Knowing when to reach out? * Personalization? * Follow-up? * Or targeting people who were never going to buy? What’s been the biggest bottleneck in your outbound?

B2B Cold email outreach

I recently finished a 50+ outreach experiment for my B2B SaaS, all manually researched and personalized LinkedIn messages. Not cold email, but probably relevant. My biggest takeaway: don't obsess over the tool or the reply rate yet. I made the mistake of starting from “these people fit my ICP” and then trying to personalize my way into relevance. If I did it again I'd start from people showing an actual reason to care RIGHT NOW. Complaining about the problem, asking how others solve it, actively looking for alternatives, hiring around it, whatever. Then outreach. 50 highly targeted people who have no reason to give a shit today are still 50 people who have no reason to give a shit lol Learned that one the expensive way.
