Sudden eye issue, please help!

Itchy balding ears on older cat

The ears only just started balding more recently but her ears have been itchy a few months. No mites, ears have been cleaned and there’s nothing to clean out. Shes on mite meds because our other cat had mites but they were not introduced until tater was clear. It’s not the inside of her ears that itches just the outside. You can scratch them and she kicks her leg like a dog. Any ideas to what it could be? She will be seeing the vet at some point to have them looked at but it’s not major and I’d like to see what others think and what I can try at home first. Edit: After some googling I'm now afraid of Solar dermatitis lol, I can't get her in this week due to my schedule, but I'll get her in next week if there's availability.

3 month old kitten’s eye is inflamed

Hi, before I begin I would like to say that I have little details to share as the kitten isn’t in my care currently, my friend is taking care of her for me as major renovations are happening at my place. I also will try to get an emergency vet visit this week tomorrow as soon as clinics open. I would also like to add that I have called the emergency vets today and she said to do warm sterile compresses and to keep her from scratching her eye and get a vet appointment ASAP. My friend told me just now that my kitten’s eye is inflamed as you can see, and she is in visible discomfort. She told me it kept getting worse as the days progressed and she keeps trying to scratch her eye. Her dad said that it’s common in kittens to have eye inflammation so I’m asking here, should I be worried? Do you think the vet will be expensive? I’ll pay no matter what but I’d like to have a preview of what awaits. Does it also seem serious?
