The Problem

Hiring managers have trainable entry-level roles but reuse inflated job-description templates to reduce large applicant pools. This discourages suitable beginners, attracts mismatched experienced candidates, and leaves managers reviewing hundreds of resumes while positions remain open. Stale listings and unclear hiring intent further waste candidate and employer time.

Potential Solution

Deliver a fixed-scope hiring sprint that observes the role, separates essential skills from trainable tasks, rewrites the posting, and replaces years-of-experience filters with a short paid work sample. The service manages initial screening, presents a small evidence-backed shortlist, and supplies a role-specific 30-day onboarding plan. It can begin as a hands-on recruiting operation and later productize reusable assessment and onboarding kits for recurring role families.

Why Now?

High application volumes make resume screening increasingly ineffective, while employers report limited capacity to train or evaluate beginners. Companies that establish credible entry-level pathways can access overlooked candidates without competing exclusively for experienced workers.

Where am I right now, or how do you survive and get into a new field?
Look, maybe it’s just that the country we live in is different. But in mine, there’s something called a vocational training program (FP). It’s basically a two-year public program where you can learn the more practical side of working as a programmer. There are programs for systems administration, AI, web development, and so on. And people who complete these programs are realizing that they can't find jobs because the job market is full of people with programming skills. That’s why companies ask for years of experience. Because they can. They will find someone willing to take a junior position even though they’re not actually a junior. And juniors are willing to take almost anything—even minimum wage—just to get that experience. And you say, “Either you and I are living in completely different worlds, or you haven’t looked at junior developer job postings in a long time.” But the thing is: you haven’t even gotten a job interview. You said, “My applications go straight into the trash.” You’re missing this part. The fact that something isn’t in the job description doesn’t mean it doesn’t count. The problem is that you’re looking at jobs that ask for experience. You can throw your degree in the trash if you already have experience, but if you don’t, then it’s a completely different matter.

How Fake Job Postings Create the Worker Shortage Paradox
The Invisible Hand
S1

Sarah wasn't alone in noticing this. In online forums, other job seekers were sharing similar experiences. People with 10, 15 years of experience getting ghosted after final interviews. Entry-level positions requiring five years of experience. Senior roles that paid junior wages. And everywhere. The same listings that seem to live forever. Like digital zombies shambling through Indeed.com. Meanwhile, the headlines kept coming. Worker shortage forces restaurants to close early. Manufacturers can't find qualified applicants. Service industry struggling to staff positions. The disconnect was jarring. If companies were so desperate, why did getting hired feel like winning the lottery?
