A managed monthly service that turns unreliable account feeds into a verified household cash-flow record.

Medium opportunity (59%)
Households using finance trackers repeatedly encounter missing or duplicated transactions, broken account connections, incorrect categories, stale balances, and inconsistent records across devices. These failures force users to inspect and repair data before they can safely budget, forecast cash, or review spending. Switching products is also costly because accounts, categories, rules, and historical records must be rebuilt.
Provide a privacy-conscious reconciliation service that imports customer-authorized exports, compares them with bank and card statements, resolves duplicates and omissions, standardizes categories, and delivers a verified monthly ledger. Begin with a migration and cleanup package, then offer recurring reconciliation and exception review. Lightweight software can later support secure document intake, matching, audit trails, and customer approval without attempting to replace every budgeting product.
Consumers displaced from discontinued or deteriorating finance products are accumulating unreliable histories and facing high switching costs. Persistent connection and categorization complaints create room for a productized human-in-the-loop service centered on data accuracy rather than budgeting features.

Love YNAB I started using YNAB in 2019, and it had helped me in so many ways. It helped me save for my down payment on my house, and then save a realistic 6 month emergency fund by assigning money to future months. Assigning money to categories really helps me prioritize my spending as well as plan for upcoming bills, vacations, home improvements, and more. Having to assign every dollar a job means I decide in real time what the consequence of overspending on a category will do. What category will have to have money removed to cover overspending? I recommend YNAB to everyone, as someone who has never been able to use budgets that required me to manually input transactions because I would get behind on entering them and then get overwhelmed, having all my accounts integrated and automatically import transactions means I can finally actually keep up with budgeting. I could go on and on.
Wish I would have started YNAB 10 years ago Love it and now my son is seriously considering YNAB soon. He’s watching YNAB videos and gathering his paperwork. Update: Son has started his YNAB journey.
Update... After giving some thought, I'm going to continue to use this app and see if I can give it the benefit of the doubt. It is however annoying that I have to manually "approve" my spending and categorize everything especially when I have a working budget and account linked. Update... Having to reauthorize linked accounts over and over again is just too much hassle. This is why my rating went down to a one star. The help and tutorial doesn't work or make sense at all. Fix, I'll come back
