People facing credit card, medical, loan, and mortgage debt often do not know whether to consolidate, negotiate, use savings, contact lenders, or consider bankruptcy. Their situations are emotionally urgent and financially complex, especially when income loss, medical bills, collections, or large lump-sum payments are involved.
A secure financial triage app imports debts, income, credit score, assets, and bills, then models payoff strategies, settlement options, lender hardship programs, medical debt relief, and bankruptcy thresholds. It produces prioritized next steps, scripts for creditors, repayment timelines, and alerts for high-risk actions like retirement withdrawals or missed mortgage payments.
Consumer debt, medical collections, and job instability are pushing more households into crisis-level financial decisions. AI-driven document parsing and cash-flow modeling now make personalized debt triage affordable without requiring users to start with an expensive advisor.

For context, I have one card that sits at 8k on an apple card with an APR of 22.49% after medical expenses and other things and have been trying to shoot down the debt little by little every check. I use the snowball method with my other card, but whenever I chuck a few hundreds at this card its like nothing changes. As of now my credit score is above 720 but again this card is slowly dropping it by 2-4 points last time I checked. I work two jobs, one that pays bi monthly and the other pays weekly on Wednesdays. Any advice would be helpful as I'm in my late 20s and really don't know what I'm doing...
As the title state due to the fact that I have a credit score of 544 and almost $200,000 in medical debt I kind of feel feels like I have no options to even try to get out of poverty. I’m borderline homeless. And it feels like I have nothing I can do. I owe money to almost every major hospital network in Colorado. I owe bills and money to my ex-husband. I was federally indicted for domestic violence. I can’t even afford a lawyer or anything. It feels like my life is over, and I don’t know what to do
Posting this here for some moral support and encouragement. Almost done paying off the first card and got many to go!
I'm looking for some opinions because I'm not sure if this is a terrible idea or not. I'm 40, make about $90k a year in Ontario, and have around $83k in my RRSP. I've been contributing consistently for years and currently put in about $1,000/month between my contributions and employer matching. I have been averaging about 14% returns every year on my RRSP's, which I know is quite lucky. I also have about $6,000 in credit card debt across two cards with interest rates around 21% and 30%. Before anyone says "just pay it off aggressively," I've tried. The problem is that every time I make progress, life happens. I've basically been treading water. The other factor is that I think there's a decent chance I'm going to be laid off in the near future. Nothing official, but there are enough signs that I'm preparing for the possibility. If that happens, any severance would be going toward rent, food, and keeping myself afloat while I find another job. I'm considering withdrawing enough from my RRSP to wipe out the credit card debt and then rebuilding the RRSP once I'm employed again. I know RRSP withdrawals are generally considered a bad idea, but so is carrying 30% credit card debt. Just looking for advice, thanks!
I have a couple of medical bills currently in collections, I had a lung collapse when I was between jobs. My medical bills added up together make around $4000. Even though I was actively paying monthly (but not an automated payment), they decided to send me to collections which halted my ability to be able to pay on MyChart. I was told this happen because I didn't use the automated payment method. On top of this I have $2300 in credit card debt out of $8k. Plus a car loan that's currently sitting at $16,250 that I'm doing regular monthly payments on. Collections keeps calling me to collect the debt as if I have everything in total right now, when I don't. I have $300 left over when my monthly bills are done. If everything were one big huge bill, like the personal loan, I could pay that off easily on a monthly basis. But I cannot pay off all of these bills monthly in their separate categories, 3 of them want $200 minimum a month. I want to just get a $10k loan, pay the $7k ish off and return what I don't use. A monthly payment of $160-$300 is much more doable than $600+ I think. So, is this the right move to make, and if so, any suggestions of who to go through? Or if not, what should I do?
