Workers with multiple jobs, freelance clients, spouses, relocations, or role changes struggle to keep employment dates, tax documents, withholding decisions, and IRS/payment status organized. Small discrepancies can create stress during background checks, resume updates, W-4/W-9 filing, amended returns, and tax notices.
A secure web app connects income sources, stores W-2s, 1099s, W-9s, contracts, pay records, IRS payment confirmations, and employment timelines in one structured dashboard. It flags missing documents, date inconsistencies, withholding risks, amendment requirements, and unresolved tax-payment issues while generating clean summaries for tax preparers, employers, and background-check vendors.
More workers are combining full-time jobs, freelance clients, remote work, and household multi-income setups. Tax complexity and employment verification friction are rising as income streams become less linear.

We filed like normal. We received a letter saying they need more info. So we sent: * Pages 1 & 2 of our return * Amounts and dates of all estimated payments * Our W2s * A copy of the letter I've yet to see any updates on irs.gov and haven't received anything in the mail. Any idea when I should expect some sort of update?
Long story short HRB filed a 1040x for my husband instead of a 1040 after I amended our original return from MFJ to MFS. Because of this we got a letter saying he had to file an original return which we had to mail out last week. He prepaid his tax via the irs account in March and the payment said and still says processed. Now when I look at his transcript it newly showed code 672 “removed payment”. I know it’s too early on to call the IRS to get any info, but will they apply what he owed to his original return now?

Hi everyone, I am currently undergoing a HireRight background check and would like some advice from people who have faced similar situations. My situation: * Worked part-time during my Master's degree. * Employment contract ran from May 2023 to February 2025. * From Sep 1, 2024 to Feb 28, 2025, I was doing my Master's thesis under a contract. * The thesis contract officially ended on Feb 28, 2025. * I had to extend my thesis work, submitted my thesis in April 2025, and gave my thesis presentation in May 2025. ( The company did not extend my thesis contract for this period) * During March–May 2025, I did not have an active employment contract. * I later returned under a new contract and worked again in June 2025. The discrepancy: * Resume / job application: May 2023 – June 2025. * HireRight form: May 2023 – February 2025. ( I Inputed correct dates as they will check this with my part time employer) My concern: * Employer verification may show that I was not officially employed during March–May 2025. * The difference is roughly 3 months. Questions: * Has anyone experienced a similar 2–3 month employment date discrepancy during a HireRight background check? * Did HireRight or the employer ask for an explanation? * Was it simply noted as a discrepancy, or did it create serious issues? * How are situations like this typically handled? Would appreciate hearing any real-life experiences from people who have gone through HireRight or similar background checks. \*\*Used ChatGPT to put my thoughts into a understandable way.
