Pre-check, initiate, and track bank-to-broker transfers so funds arrive through the right rail without mystery delays.

Retail investors struggle to move money between banks, brokers, ISA providers, robo-advisors, and cross-border accounts because each platform supports different rails, timelines, references, and account formats. Users often discover too late that they chose SWIFT instead of ACH, wire instead of local transfer, or an ISA transfer route with long processing delays.
Build a web app that verifies source and destination account compatibility before a transfer, recommends the correct payment rail, generates exact transfer instructions, and tracks expected settlement windows. The tool would alert users when a transfer exceeds normal timing, explain likely failure points, and provide escalation templates for banks and brokers.
More retail investors are self-directing into index funds, low-fee brokers, and international fintech accounts, increasing money movement across fragmented financial platforms. Transfer delays and payment-rail confusion are becoming more painful as users switch providers to avoid fees.
I'm confused if I should use the "wire transfer" option that gives you a reference number or the "USD Account Details" one... Thanks in advance for your tips :)
Hi everyone, I’m new to Reddit and I’m trying to understand a banking issue I’m dealing with. Someone sent money from a bank account in Israel to my Meru US account using my routing number and account number. I was expecting it to arrive normally, but I recently checked the transfer receipt and it shows that the payment was sent via SWIFT. This is where I’m confused: From what I’ve read, Meru may not support SWIFT transfers and might only process ACH transfers. If that’s true, I don’t understand what happens when someone sends SWIFT instead of ACH. It has now been about 6 days, and I still haven’t received the funds in my account. I also noticed that Meru support is sometimes being handled through a Discord ticket system. One person named “Eduardo” is responding there, but I’m not sure if that is official support or not, especially since: The Discord is mostly in Spanish I’m new to Discord and not confident using it for financial support I don’t know how to verify if someone is actually part of official Meru support **My questions:** If a SWIFT transfer is sent to a US account that only accepts ACH, what usually happens? Does it get automatically rejected and returned to the sender, or can it get stuck somewhere in the system? How long do SWIFT transfers usually take before you can confirm there’s a problem? What is the safest way to contact official Meru support directly? I’m just trying to understand if this is a normal delay or if there is a real issue I need to worry about. Any advice would really help.
Decided to take the plunge and start investing in index funds at the age of 35! I'm looking at Trading 2-1-2 platform and eyeing up products like the S&P500 or FTSE world index. Haven't committed to anything as of yet. Not necessarily risk adverse but as a newbie I am cautious at the moment. My questions for the learned amongst you is: 1. What index funds are recommended? 2. How much is recommended for a deposit? 3. How much does one put away a month? Many thanks!
So I instigated an ISA transfer back end of April from Halifax to HSBC, and still to date the funds haven't arrived and after speaking to an agent on the phone, it is still sat in a holding pot within HSBC awaiting processing claiming there have been a higher than normal amount of requests. It's about 45 days since the transfer was requested. Are delays like this now normal? I'm starting to regret even doing a transfer now.
