Android users with local music files struggle with fragmented apps that either have poor UI, lack auto-metadata completion, fail to fetch synced lyrics, or stop working entirely. Existing players like Samsung Music have regressed in usability, while alternatives require manual tagging or miss key features like equalizers and custom tags.
A freemium Android app that combines robust offline playback with AI-driven auto-tagging (metadata, album art), synced lyrics fetching, a built-in equalizer, custom tag system, and advanced search/sorting. The app automates library organization while maintaining full offline functionality and offering optional YouTube Music integration for downloads.
Rising streaming costs are pushing users back to owned music libraries, while modern on-device AI makes accurate auto-tagging feasible without cloud dependency. Users are actively seeking alternatives as established apps degrade or lose support.
Is there any free music app without ads? I don’t have money left for a Spotify or YouTube Music subscription.
Personally, I'd like it to have a good design, allow me to export and import playlists, and support lyrics in .lrc format.
Hey everyone, im looking for a music app that has same look or feel like spotify has a album cover and synced lyrics and it has offline music download and completely free
I cancelled my Spotify subscription and I'm looking for an alternative for it all the ones I've found either don't have most of the songs or you need a subscription to listen to it all I want is to listen to music in the order I want and be able to turn off my phone any recommendations?
Hey Reddit. I have been on a mission to discover the most full featured and the most customizable third-party music app on Android. I appreciate a modern UI too. I have tried various apps such as ViMusic and RiMusic. Kreate and ViVi Music. It seems that due to various reasons. (Being discounted or not maintained in an active manner. Not being optimized in 2026 and etc.) Many of these apps are not usable in 2026. - Power User Feature Set - Full Featured - Organization and Sorting Features - Customizability - Modern UI These are my criteria! Are there any apps that I am not aware of or that I ought to try, that fill these power-user criteria in 2026?
