The Problem

Travelers struggle to turn destination ideas into practical itineraries that account for timing, transportation, physical ability, budget, crowds, and advance reservations. They often rely on scattered forum advice to validate whether a trip is too rushed, what must be booked ahead, and which activities are actually worth prioritizing.

Potential Solution

A web and mobile planning tool that ingests trip dates, traveler profiles, budget, mobility level, interests, and transport constraints, then generates optimized day-by-day itineraries with feasibility scores. It flags overpacked days, suggests alternatives, identifies booking deadlines, estimates transit time, and recommends low-stress routing for solo travelers, couples, families, and older travelers.

Why Now?

Independent travel planning is becoming more complex as demand rises, popular attractions require timed reservations, and travelers increasingly avoid generic package tours. AI itinerary generation is widespread, but users still need grounded feasibility checks, logistics validation, and booking-aware recommendations.

Love the idea of dropping in random YouTube links and getting a proper itinerary out. One thing I'd love to see is a price estimator built into the day-by-day plan, even a rough daily budget broken down by food, transit, and activities, so I know what I'm getting into before committing to the trip.

Planning a trip with family or friends shouldn't be this hard. Everyone has ideas for different days, and planning ends up scattered across individual and group chats no one can find weeks later. I built a collaborative travel planning app to fix that. It's live. Try it at: tripeaz.app I have a list of features in the works, but send me your requests. I plan to build and iterate in the open.

One thing that would really help: a shared packing list tied to the itinerary, with suggested items based on each day's activities and the destination's weather. Right now packing is the one thing my group still ends up doing in a random notes app after everything else is planned here. Would close the loop nicely.
