A productized service that tests, redesigns, and reorders Amazon listing images based on real shopper feedback.
Added Jun 29, 2026
Amazon brand owners often choose product images based on insider knowledge, not what first-time shoppers actually notice or understand. The signals repeatedly show that main images, image order, visual context, before-and-after shots, and clarity of product use can materially affect click-through and conversion. Sellers need a practical way to learn which image concepts resonate before spending heavily on creative or traffic.
Offer a done-for-you image stack audit and testing package for Amazon sellers. The service would review the current listing, create quick alternate mockups or reordered image stacks, run audience tests through tools like PickFu, Helium 10 Audience, or similar panels, then deliver a prioritized image order and redesign brief. The first version can be fulfilled manually by a founder using existing design tools, poll platforms, and Amazon listing expertise.
AI-assisted creative tools make it faster and cheaper to generate testable image variations. At the same time, Amazon competition is pushing sellers to optimize smaller conversion levers like image sequencing, shopper comprehension, and visual proof.

I’ve been studying drop shipping brands non stop lately and I started to realize that the brands who level up their images and ads are the ones who make it. Every guru tries to sell the idea of automating everything and grabbing products from ali or other sources with images and content already intact and it’s such a mistake. Spend the time and make it yours. Make the images look like they were never seen before and make it harder for your content to be tracked back to ali or Amazon or whatever. I’ve been playing with tools like Claude and visuallift.ai to build out and generate my own emails, videos, product photos using Ai, and of course my own product names and descriptions etc. the different it ultimately makes is night and day. Even with Shopify the Visuallift app has a Shopify spp so all my products are automatically synced and I can ab test product images as I drive traffic to them and compare what images perform. Claude agents help me constantly improve the key selling points and then I feed that back to improve my ads and images. Bottom line don’t be lazy. We have zero excuses in 2026 when we have crazy ai tools at our fingers!
optimized main image. Let me show you guys the ones I had. So I put something into Helium 10 audience slash PicFu. And I said, Hey, if you were looking for a grooved work cursive workbook for your kids, which image makes you want to click it the most. And I think I chose prime audience and people with kids or something like that, or parents as the audience modifiers. And, and so I had four options and we had one clear winner. All right. With 25 votes. And this is the one that I went with. Um, but it's interesting because when you do these kinds of tests, it's not just, Oh, Hey, which one is the winner of all of these options? What you want to do is look at the responses that the buyers are making, because you might find out stuff about how they perceive your image or how they perceive your product. That is either great or is really bad. Or like they're, they're confused about the size or something. And why did C win? Or why did this other option, this third option win? Look at this, what this person said. I like option C because I can see the image in the upper left-hand corner, showing the examples of how the letters should be written. And then the example showing the hand writing the letter in cursive. And then another person said, this preference is the only option I would consider because it gives you an idea of the inside of the book. Another person said the only result that actually shows and a sample of the cursive writing. So let me just explain to you, like for me, I wouldn't have picked this one. I don't remember which one I think I would have picked this one that has this little tag on it because me, I know exactly what this product is. I have it here in my warehouse. Like to me, I just look at the outside box. I'm already imagining how it looks inside. I know there's like grooved letters and I know you, you trace it, but somebody just seen this for the first time. They've never had this product. They wouldn't know that. So you see how as a brand owner or somebody who's managing a brand, you could have a completely different point of view about how others perceive your images and what's the best image to you is not necessarily the best image for your target market. And so as you can see from these options, this one, this one that won is the only
hero cascade effect that I actually, uh, glanced at it a few minutes back. Once you nail a hero shot, like once you make the perfect and, and your sales go from 50 to 500 a day, it's a matter of weeks before somebody copies it. And it's a matter of month before the whole category copies this. We have seen this over and time again. Uh, so just be, just rush things. Don't wait. And, uh, the interesting part, um, how, how to improve your listing yourself. And honestly, this is very easy. One of the tricks I already told you, just go to Gemini pay, I think it's 10 or 20 bucks to get the AI suite and give it your hero shot, or just take a picture with your phone. Uh, nothing too fancy. Take it with a good lighting. When I say good lighting, I mean, next to the window and, um, use nano banana to just create an image and tell it to, if you have no idea, just tell it to give you, uh, 10 prompts and use those prompts to create 10 images. Then run on the same actual platform, run no cost AI split test. This way you will get some kind of idea what to test, or if you're brave enough, what to, uh, upload on Amazon. And this way you, you, you're getting what basically what we are doing, but on a less advanced level. So it's not going to fix your reflections. It's not going to give you some tricks to go around the terms of service. Sure. It will follow the terms of service, but if you have, uh, no budget to spend for a freelancer or an agency, this is the best thing you can do. I mean, try it yourself. You'll see the results going up. Copy improvements. Um, the thing I mentioned, uh, just before. Feed AIO reviews. Um, our partners, uh, at AMC Scout actually have this tool that you can use to summarize, uh, the, the reviews, but you can also use other tools to like free tools. I mean, like even chat GPT, uh, pulls data from your reviews and it, it will, and also competitor, uh, reviews, and it will tell you what works and what doesn't. And you, you can use this plus your keywords that you probably already know. You can use this to basically rewrite the copy, but once you rewrite the copy, make sure to inject your brand voice. Because AI sucks when it comes to personality. That's the best, uh, that that's the good and the bad part of it. And, uh, last but not least, improve your brand story. You don't need a designer. You
What we're talking about here are two different things, right? There's the design and then there's the information you add after. So we're saying that pre doesn't convert, but it absolutely won't on its own. It's got to be designed for optimization. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And what might work well in this scenario, too, is doing more of like an image stack test. Right. So like a full set of images, because then, for example, like then in terms of information, you know, it'd be more on par if you're comparing like the set of four or five images that have. And we've done this test before, too, where actually just at just with John, we redid an image stack using AI and it was much more, much more designed, much more consistent. And the consistent one did significantly better. And in that case, you know, the information between one stack to the next is fairly comparable. But that's where the design really shines because you see like the consistency throughout the multiple, multiple images. That's brilliant. This test is brilliant. Good, isn't it? Yeah. Tells you a lot. Cool. Should we wrap here? Or we got more. Sorry, Matt. Is there more to show? Yeah. No, that's... I didn't want to cut you short. Yeah. Yeah. We're good. And you know what? There are some, I mean, interestingly enough, there are some that they specifically call out the design that's professional and enticing because of the color palette. They literally mention the color palette. Like, that's wild. That's wild. That might be because they've got a design background and, you know, they're flexing on that part saying that's what they like. I think with design is most people don't necessarily know good design, but they know what they like. But they also, it's more of a feel, right? So they get a visual feel of something where they go, well, that looks a bit cheap. Maybe it's because the design was poor, right? Or that looks really good. I really want to buy that. And it's maybe because it is good design with good spacing and the right complement of the text placement and everything else, right? So they all have to play these roles in order to capture the emotion, the imagination of the purchaser. Okay. Also thing to shout out, like, I just wanted to show, like, literally how fast this is. Like, we launched it, like, minutes ago and we're already at almost that 70% complete.
Um, a little bit about the performance. So when you're showing things like, I always say, show, show me, don't tell me. So when you're doing images like this, it doesn't really tell me anything. Maybe that window was already clean, that mirror. So always put it into context, like what cleaning looks like, right? What does it look like? It makes, it means I'm going to clean, I'm going to make my, you know, window, uh, streak free, uh, beautiful, you know, clean. So always put it in context. I always like this before and after and kind of action, uh, images because they tell a story. This image is like this don't really tell a story. Um, but it's a good image, but you can, it can be better. Um, the other thing is, I think that's pretty much, uh, done. Uh, you, this is a pretty good, uh, this is a pretty good image. So I don't really have any comments here. Um, also generated it same. The one thing that Sim mentioned, just keep your consistent layout across. Uh, and this one, I'm not really fond of this. I think looking at this, what I would probably do this here. Also is add a little bit about the other colors that come with it. So probably here, what I would do is, uh, I'll probably, I have this image somewhere here and say mention, mention, mention, uh, well, that's not working. Sorry guys, need to refresh my internet. Mention the other colors that come, uh, in the set here in this image. And that's pretty much your listing done. Um, and I'm gonna hand over to, uh, to Matt to go through some of the tests. Again, this is, these are, this is the first step. These are hypothesis that need to be tested. Can be tested can be further optimized. These are just literally 10 minute quick mock-ups based on research that you can generate and test and then take it from there. very cool. Okay. Very cool. Yeah. Let me grab some of the other testing that we did. Dorian, I need to get your water jug size of, uh, of water. That's, that's epic. So we also wanted to run on the, uh, test for the secondary images to kind of figure out what's, um, uh, like what resonates best with, uh, with shoppers. And I think this is one of Dorian's favorite tests. Um, because, you know, usually we put like, this is a great, obviously great image. Um, but do we know what is, is resonating, um, with, with shoppers?
