People pay for caller-screening tools but still receive scam calls, lose caller identification, or cannot inspect phone numbers and call times after updates. Existing products also give users little evidence that blocking is active or control over which calls should be blocked.
Build an Android call-screening product centered on verifiable operation and manual control. It would retain a clear call history, identify calls when reliable data exists, let users approve blocking rules, and display an on-device status check explaining whether required permissions and phone settings are working.
The signals show failures across several established products rather than one isolated complaint. Frequent product changes and inconsistent device-level behavior create room for a narrowly designed alternative built around reliability, transparency, and user control.

Junk app, does NOT block any calls. Spam calls still rang through. Does not work. Will not be paying for the paid version. ..
Great app lets me know who calls before I pick up the phone. Big database of known spammers and caller id the best out there. The only downside is it doesn't block spam texts from politicians and others I don't want to donate to. I suggest keyword filters like Mezo SMS premium has. I canceled their service because it blocked texts from my contacts list without the spam toggle being on and technical support took weeks to respond to my email.
Not the best Where to begin? First, this app blocks calls from numbers that are in my contacts. Why on earth would I want to block a number from a caller I have added to my contacts?! My power company, Xcel Energy, was calling about power outages. I have their number in my phone contacts, but this app blocked them. It’s inconceivable how anyone thought that feature would be helpful. Second, the app doesn’t work half the time. Either it allows spam calls, yet still
