A productized service that replaces margin-eroding sitewide discounts with tested bundles, thresholds, gifts, and subscription offers.

Shopify founders often launch flat discounts without calculating how they will affect order value, gross margin, or future purchasing behavior. The resulting sales spikes can conceal lower profit per order and condition customers to postpone purchases until the next promotion. Merchants need a practical way to select, configure, and measure offers that encourage larger baskets rather than simply reducing prices.
Provide a fixed-scope promotion audit and implementation service for direct-to-consumer Shopify brands. The operator analyzes order, product, margin, and subscription data; models several offer structures; and then configures one approved bundle, quantity discount, gift, shipping threshold, or subscription incentive. A post-launch review compares order value, conversion, gross profit, and product mix against the previous promotion.
Frequent seasonal promotions and rising acquisition costs make indiscriminate discounts increasingly damaging to merchant economics. Shopify brands already have the transaction data and promotion controls needed for a specialist to deliver measurable improvements without building new software first.

The first pillar is all about changing customer behavior. You want to increase average order value. And one of the easiest ways is through strategic bundle pricing. Instead of selling individual bottles, create starter packs or wellness kits that solve a complete health concern. Use free shipping thresholds strategically, too. For supplements, I've found that $75 to $100 works really well. It naturally pushes customers to add one or two more items to their cart. And there are a few advanced tactics I'm keeping to myself and paying clients. You also want to improve your subscription rates. Offer the first subscription at 15% off instead of giving everyone a welcome discount.
Now picture this let's say a founder launches like a 20 off you know sale site-wide and you know this could be like a bfcm offer who knows i think these sales are clearly going to spike for you know these two or three days but what happens when it's over my gut tells me and i think i'm guilty of this is that some brands we get trained as customers to kind of wait for discounts and i think that causes a lot of issues there's you know margins are bleeding i think these average order value significantly drops because of that but meanwhile there are other founders that run some more creative kind of discounting rules and it's one of the reasons why i haven't had my guest on today but you think about maybe if you buy three and you get 15 off and then that would see the cart values climb number one because you're buying more yes you're getting 50 off but you're buying three now while keeping
Average order value because it's encouraging people to buy more so they might be getting a 20 discount but they might be buying 50 more products so you're actually getting more even though it's a discount whereas if you have a flat 20 discount without volume elements to that then people will literally pay 20 less so that has a dramatically different impact on your revenue in fact i have a similar story about when we do black friday sales of our plugins at barn 2 we obviously you don't buy a quantity of plugins but we do offer different license options and a lifetime option number of size so there are ways to spend more on the same plugin and whenever we do a black friday discount of something like 40 just flats then we end up getting more revenue per customer the average order value is the same or slightly higher during black friday and when we analyze that it's because the fact that
Yeah, bundling for sure is an effective strategy to bring up your AOV. And therefore, as you mentioned, like there's a financial calculation to be had where you're going to make more money off the extra order value compared to what the discount that you give is. I mean, another one that, you can do without even having to discount is adding on another gift, right? So, you know, the part of the issue with, with having sales throughout the holiday season is that again, you're, you're cheapening your own product, right? By, and training your customers to look for discounts. But what if you discounted in a different type of way, adding on a gift instead of giving a discount or offered a resale program?
