A web app that turns mobile app screens and recordings into compliant App Store screenshots, preview videos, and launch pages.

Indie mobile developers often finish the app itself but stall at the App Store submission step because screenshots, preview videos, metadata, support pages, privacy pages, localization, and export specs are tedious. Existing options are fragmented: hire a designer, use fragile templates, learn video editing software, or submit low-quality raw assets. This creates launch delays and weaker conversion on the store listing.
Build a web-based asset generator where developers upload screenshots and iPhone screen recordings, describe the app, and receive App Store-ready screenshots, preview videos, metadata, and basic launch pages. The first product surface can focus on screenshot and preview video generation with device frames, headline text, tap indicators, clean backgrounds, and Apple-compliant exports. Later expansion can add Google Play assets, localization, keyword metadata, privacy/support page generation, and rejection-risk checks.
App distribution is increasingly competitive, and indie developers are shipping faster with AI-assisted coding but still hit manual launch bottlenecks. The signals show active builders creating point tools around the same workflow within days of each other, suggesting demand is immediate and underserved.

i built a skill to take screenshots of every page in your app with integration to the [AppLaunchFlow](applaunchflow.com) MCP so you can create app store screenshots, promo videos, social graphics and more directly from your favourite agent
I’ve shipped a few iOS apps over the last couple of years, and App Preview videos have become part of every release. Whether they increase conversions depends on the app, but one thing is certain: a good preview explains your app much faster than a wall of screenshots. Here are a few things I wish I knew earlier. **1. Show the core value in the first 3 seconds** Most users decide almost instantly whether your app is interesting. Don’t start with a logo animation. Show the feature that makes your app worth downloading. **2. Don’t try to show every feature** One preview ≠ one product tour. Focus on one user journey. Trying to squeeze everything into 30 seconds usually makes the video confusing. **3. Record perfect interactions** People notice shaky scrolling, accidental taps and lag. Record slowly. Edit later. A clean recording looks much more professional. **4. Leave the Apple requirements until the end (or automate them)** This is the most frustrating part. Every release I found myself checking: Correct resolution H.264 Duration Orientation Export settings I spent more time converting videos than actually recording them. Eventually I built a small tool to automate the conversion because I got tired of repeating the same workflow every release. **5. Don’t skip App Preview just because it’s extra work** A lot of indie developers publish only screenshots. But if your app’s value comes from interaction, motion often explains it much better than static images. I’m curious… How many of you actually publish App Preview videos with every release? Or do you stick to screenshots only?
Small lesson from building Storeboard: the last 10% of shipping an app is weirdly full of image dimensions, device sets, listing copy, and 1024×500 rectangles. I turned that pain into a tool. Drop in your URL, screenshot, or description, and it generates the App Store and Google Play image sets at the right sizes. It also handles listing copy and previews. [storeboard.dev](storeboard.dev) I'm still tuning the first-run experience. Does the homepage explain the payoff quickly, or is it trying to say too much?
**I built a free App Store screenshot generator — paste your App Store URL and it auto-imports your app** Been building apps as a solo dev and kept wasting hours in Figma just to make screenshots look decent before a launch. So I built BuildrStudio — you paste your App Store or Play Store URL, it pulls your app name, category, and screenshots, then generates polished mockups with device frames and AI-written headlines. All in the browser, no signup needed. Free to use. Would love brutal feedback from other iOS devs. 👉 [buildrstudio.in/screenshot-builder](buildrstudio.in/.../screenshot-builder)
