People teams are being asked to reduce administrative work with AI, but they often lack the technical capacity to evaluate tools, connect existing systems, and govern sensitive employee data. The work currently falls across people operations, recruiting operations, and information technology roles, leaving companies with fragmented experiments instead of dependable workflows.
Offer a fixed-scope implementation service beginning with one recruiting or onboarding workflow, such as interview coordination, candidate-record maintenance, or new-hire task orchestration. The service maps the process, selects appropriate tools, configures integrations and approvals, tests data handling, trains owners, and provides a documented operating and governance plan. Recurring support can cover monitoring, workflow changes, vendor evaluation, and additional implementations.
Employers are explicitly adding AI workflow design and governance to people operations roles while trying to move away from manual administration. Rapid tool proliferation creates an immediate implementation gap between executive expectations and the capacity of internal teams.

Yeah, well, I think it's evolving an awful lot even in the last while. Hard to know, are we at the top of a hype cycle when it comes to AI or are we somewhere in the middle or beginning? There's no doubt, you know, there's been massive highs and massive lows. I think as an efficiency amplifier, it's absolutely amazing. But I think a lot of EB people are thinking, okay, well, my job is potentially at risk. So, I think there's a lot of messaging about how this is going to radically change the experience for employees. I still think you've got to have a human talking to a human as part of the process and we need to think about, you know, why would somebody consider joining this organization and how do we give them a great experience?
If a recruiter used to be able to handle 10 active searches at a time, and now they can handle 15 because the AI is handling all the administrative work, that firm can either take on 50% more business with the same staff, or they can provide better service to existing clients by having more time for relationship building and candidate development. The third confusion I hear is about whether these tools actually work better than human judgment. And the answer is nuanced, which I think is important to understand if you're thinking about building or buying AI tools for your own business. The AI isn't better at understanding whether a candidate would be a cultural fit or has the right leadership qualities for a specific role.
