The Problem

Mobile product teams can ship authentication regressions that create blank screens, redirect loops, false password errors, repeated logouts, and broken recovery links. Conventional backend monitoring may miss these failures because web login and identity services remain operational while the mobile flow is unusable. The resulting outage blocks maintenance requests, employee onboarding, field work, and connected-device control.

Potential Solution

Provide a managed testing operation that runs each client's critical authentication journeys on a defined matrix of real phones, tablets, operating systems, account states, and identity methods. Specialists reproduce failures, preserve screen recordings and diagnostic evidence, and deliver developer-ready defect reports with release comparisons. The first version can be fulfilled manually with device testing and scripted checklists, then productized with reusable test runners and scheduled monitoring.

Why Now?

Authentication increasingly crosses mobile apps, embedded browsers, email links, identity providers, and backend account systems, creating failure modes that component-level monitoring does not expose. The signals span multiple industries and years, indicating a durable release-quality problem rather than one transient regression.

Who designed this app???!!! It is the most prehistoric thing ever. There’s no logical flow at all. I tried signing up for an alert and spent half an hour trying to figure out how to creat an account. Then I tried adding a new alert which led me to sign up again. There’s a “alert have an account” link offering me a chance to log in to an existing account. I enter my login info that I just created to LOG IN and get an error of “account already exists.” Wut??

Useless: Cannot create account. It only ever says: “Baaaah. We couldn't find the page you were looking for. Our most sheepish apologies.” Cannot move past this initial step.
