Hi all, I recently launched **Cofounnder** \- [cofounnder.com](cofounnder.com) \- a platform and community for people looking for a co-founder, mentor, accountability partner, wanting to meet other ambitious people, or just looking for someone to explore an idea with. There are already people on there with variety of skills, ideas and backgrounds. Our the goal isn't only to help you find someone but give you enough evidence to make an informed decision. You set out what you bring and what you're looking for - skills, experience, how much time you can commit, location, proof of work, progress - and see the same back from everyone else. Once you connect, you can run **Alignment Check**. You both answer the same questions without seeing each other's answers, and they're only revealed once you've both finished. It covers commitment, goals, decision-making and how you'd handle disagreements. From there you can interview each other in writing (we have a set of questions but you can change them how you like), work through equity, and sign a mutual NDA and a partnership agreement you both keep as PDFs. There's also an Idea Lab if you're still shaping what you want to build, and a toolkit for the company setup admin. Finding a cofounder is unstructured and the stakes are high

There are already loads of communities where people post looking for a cofounder. The problem is that discovery itself is unstructured. You're starting from a post or a DM, you don't really know who you're talking to beyond what they've chosen to tell you, and both sides can present themselves however they want. That's why we have recently launched [cofounnder.com](cofounnder.com) \- we wanted to ensure the whole process is structured and founders have enough info to make informed decision. Profiles capture skills, your idea (if you are open to sharing), work evidence, what you bring and what you need, background, work style, availability, pace and location - so you can actually compare people instead of reading ten different versions of "excited to build something big." Everyone can verify their identity, so there's a baseline of trust before you invest time in someone. Interest only becomes visible if it's mutual, and nobody can message you without an accepted connection. Once you connect, there's the alignment part. Both people answer the same questions independently and can't see the other person's answers until they've submitted their own -decision-making, how you handle disagreements, priorities, communication. Doing it that way makes it much harder to just mirror back what you think the other person wants to hear. Then you compare both sets side by side.
