Password-manager product teams struggle to reproduce autofill failures caused by combinations of phone manufacturers, Android versions, browsers, memory conditions, form designs, and device settings. Users across several competing products report missing prompts, incorrect credential suggestions, slow launches, failed synchronization, and repeated manual copying. These failures directly undermine the central workflow customers pay password managers to perform.
Operate a managed compatibility lab that runs standardized login, address, payment, and account-selection tests on real Android devices and browsers. Each engagement delivers reproducible evidence, environment details, screen recordings, severity rankings, and regression tests that the buyer can add to its release process. Begin as a testing service and gradually productize the reusable test harness, form corpus, and certification standard.
Android device fragmentation and frequent application, browser, and platform updates create a recurring test burden. The persistence of similar complaints across established password managers indicates a category-wide compatibility problem rather than one product's temporary regression.

Support Responses are Abysmal, never fixing even 1 issue in last 3 YEARS for ANY proton apps. Not one. 6/24/26: Still Broke. New issue: Cant add a 2nd proton pass account, hangs on syncing the vaults. Old unresolved issues for 1.5yrs: Mac Android & Win: doesnt pop up, must manually open Pass, cut&paste from Pass into the login. Reported Feedback Several Times.
They deleted my review after a very condescending response gaslighting me. auto fill still not working with brave Developer response: Thanks for your feedback! We'd like to understand what you find complicated about Proton Pass. If you can share which part of the app or which features are difficult to use.... Proton Pass has had known issues with autofill. Assuming it is user error is not cool. It doesn't seem to recognise username fields, popup (over input) doesn't seem compatible with brave
