The Problem

Dating apps emphasize photos, expose participants to uneven gender ratios, and encourage conversations that frequently stall or become prematurely sexual. Some singles instead develop attraction through personality, familiarity, and emotional connection, but lack dependable settings where they can meet the same eligible people repeatedly without cold approaches.

Potential Solution

Operate four- to six-week social cohorts with balanced enrollment, identity and relationship-intent screening, and recurring activities such as cooking, games, walks, and volunteer projects. Participants interact as a group before privately indicating whom they would like to see again, allowing the operator to facilitate consensual introductions without public rejection or pressured matchmaking.

Why Now?

The signals indicate growing frustration with app-based dating and demand for friend-first, in-person ways to form relationships. The business can be tested as a local service using rented venues and established activity providers before committing to permanent space or software.

Pay money for human connection It’s like dating apps but for human connection. I ran a 600 person group on on here for years before the hefty fees got to me. On the attendee side of things I think its a great app though

Which dating app is good??
Are there any apps left that let you actually search people vs. match? If so, one of those. Way easier to find/screen what you are looking for. Message the men you are interested in, ignore the riff raff in your inbox. I been off these streets a long ass time, but ime as a woman, the apps that let you search vs. match had higher quality men. Guys who are actively trolling will match with literally anyone. The real gems were the ones who had profiles, but were living their lives, not actively spamming inboxes trying to get laid.

Are dating apps or users to blame for superficial dating?
People don't realize how much apps have changed the way we choose a partner and date. It used to be and honestly is still the case a lot of times, where you meet someone from school/work/event/hobbies, fall in love and get married from there, that's where a lot of relationships are formed still, i dare not say majority because i don't have statistics but it feels that way to me. Apps are designed to keep you there, which means algorithms actually hinder your chances of actually meeting someone. And all this is before going back to the point where it has changed the way we date. Instead of falling in love with someone we know irl, now we pick someone based on superficial qualities and hope they also picked you. Which is an astronimically low chance compared to the former way. Yes the attractive people get tons of matches, but they are also struggling to find someone and that's because the apps have totally changed the way we choose and how we interact with them. If instead of an app, you put all the people in a room not for dating purposes and after spending some time getting to know each other, you'll have a lot more success as compared to swiping left right based on bios and pics because that tells you nothing about part of the person that people need to connect with.
