Almost what I want I love the “Up Next” automatic playlist features. This is the only app I’ve found that comes close to what I’ve been looking for. However, it keeps removing episodes I add manually which is really frustrating.

Podcast Player - Castbox

The biggest problem with this app right now is when a podcast’s page changes. When the podcast moves to a new page, new episodes are no longer published on the old page. If we follow the new page, we can’t tell which episodes we’ve already listened to and which ones we haven’t.

Weird CarPlay issues Works ok. Latency starting up and it won’t work on CarPlay unless you unlock your phone. Kind of defeats the purpose of CarPlay. I have to pick up my phone and interact with it if I want to use the app in CarPlay.
