The Problem

Single women in their twenties report that dating apps feel forced, low-effort, and emotionally draining, while their existing friendships and hobby groups often provide few opportunities to meet single men. Bars and one-off encounters also rarely create enough familiarity for a relationship to develop. The unmet job is not simply finding an event; it is entering a safe, balanced social circle where repeated interactions can happen naturally.

Potential Solution

Operate small, hosted singles circles that meet several times over a month for activities such as cooking, games, walks, workshops, or team challenges. Screen attendees for age range, location, relationship intent, and basic identity, then manage attendance balance, introductions, conduct, and post-event opt-in connections. Begin as a ticketed local service using rented venues and partner-led activities rather than building an app.

Why Now?

Repeated frustration with app-based dating is pushing young adults to look for offline alternatives, but many lack mixed-gender social networks after leaving university or entering full-time work. A recurring format can offer more trust and familiarity than speed dating or isolated singles events.

To the OP: These electronic dating apps have largely served to carpet-bomb and vaporize at least an entire generation of human interaction and courtship dynamics in people, to the point that the resulting damage may now be permanent. Humans of both sexes evolved over time to communicate and interact with one another using both verbal and non-verbal forms of communication. Tone of voice, facial displays, eyes, smiles, humour, body language, physical touch, various displays of affection, symbolic courtship rituals, pheromone exchanges, etc etc etc. What we are seeing today is a complete and utter evisceration of what has evolved over tens of thousands of years. Humans have now been converted into an endless deck of cards that can be quickly viewed and swiped aside to reveal the next card, as if one were counting a stack of dollar bills. In effect, these electronic dating apps are "anti-human", metaphorically speaking. The best way to meet people still remains naturally in-person, and always will remain as such. Good luck, sir.

My sister in law got divorced and she ended up finding someone a year later. But she goes out, she doesn't do apps. She's very social and has a lot of friends. They met that way. Both my parents did find their partners on apps within the last few years, but they went on a lot of dates, they didn't stick to the app to get to know someone. You have to get off the app. If you match, schedule a date. You aren't committing to more than one anyway. My dad told me he actually would schedule a few, he was on a mission I guess 😂 He waited 10 years to date though so I think he just knew what I wanted and was done "wasting time." He's happily married. My mom is living with hers.
