The Problem

Parents use repetitive sounds, shushing, songs, and routines to settle babies and young children, but phone-based playback can stop after calls, notifications, crashes, battery drain, or timer limits. Even connected sleep products can make finding and repeating a particular track unnecessarily slow during a sensitive bedtime routine.

Potential Solution

Build a compact physical sound player with overnight battery life, offline playback, physical favorite buttons, unlimited looping, and a simple bedtime routine control. Sell it directly with a small included sound library, while allowing parents to load selected recordings or songs locally without requiring continuous phone connectivity.

Why Now?

The same playback failures appear across reviews spanning more than a decade, while the newest signal shows that reliable selection and repetition remain unresolved even in modern connected sleep products. A focused offline device can compete on reliability and ease of use rather than content volume.

Watch Ultra Sometimes when I track with phone and watch, journal crashes and doesn’t record night, I wish phone app automatically triggered iWatch to start and vice versa, having to start both makes them crash. I wish instead of the swipe up to stop recording that it was a press/hold, so many times I accidentally cancel when I swipe to go to another app l. Also wish you could record naps or continue an interrupted night specially with a newborn/toddler
