A one-time-purchase music player that keeps owned audio, playlists, and playback available across devices without advertisements or an internet connection.

High opportunity (77%)
Listeners cannot depend on downloaded or personally owned music remaining playable: streaming apps buffer, revoke downloads, remove catalog items, interrupt playback, or require periodic internet checks. Existing local players introduce audio advertisements, weak library management, poor device migration, and unreliable playlist controls. The durable buyer job is to organize a personal collection once and play it continuously in cars, during practice, while traveling, and anywhere connectivity is unreliable.
Build an offline-first Android music player that imports files from device storage, SD? cards, computers, and optional user-controlled cloud folders. It should preserve playlists, metadata, queue state, shuffle behavior, and device migrations while performing playback entirely on the device. Sell the core player as a one-time purchase, with an optional paid migration service for importing and cleaning large libraries.
Streaming prices and access restrictions are rising while reviews across major and independent players report unreliable downloads, interrupted playback, and disappearing music. Large-capacity phone storage and SD? cards make a locally controlled library practical again.

One of the most insufferable apps I've ever had. Not only does it play an ad at every given opportunity, the ads are also 8-15 seconds long and pauses the music so that the ads can play. Instead of calling it "Mi Music", why not call it "Mi Ads", cause honestly that's what it feels like. Edit: I cannot stress enough on how annoying the ads are, even when I didn't open the app before closing my phone, an ad would still play the moment I unlocked my phone, and of course it paused the music too.
It removed all of my favorites and playlists over night. And what's interesting is that I can't get rid of this trash or disable it.
Go beyond the grade and inspect the evidence behind this opportunity.
