The Problem

Auto insurance payments can appear successful to customers while remaining unsettled, delayed, duplicated, reversed, or attached to the wrong payment method. Billing teams often discover these exceptions only after sending a cancellation notice or terminating coverage, creating refunds, disputes, regulatory exposure, and severe customer harm.

Potential Solution

Start as a managed reconciliation service for smaller auto insurers and managing general agencies. Each day, the service compares payment attempts, processor settlements, bank records, and policy status; staff investigate mismatches, prepare an evidence trail, and route corrections or customer notifications through the insurer's approved procedures. Repeated exception patterns can later become a configurable payment-assurance product.

Why Now?

Customers increasingly initiate and monitor essential payments through mobile channels, but payment processors and policy administration systems still update on different timelines. Automatic collection makes silent failures especially damaging because customers reasonably expect the insurer to notify them before cancellation.

Make sure your payment goes through I made a payment on the app with my double cash card cause why not get $10 back on a $500 payment vs autopay? The app said “payment error” but my card was charged. 3 days later, the charge phantomly disappeared from their site and my double cash account. Shady AF. Unfortunately, I got into an accident 2 days after I submitted the payment, and progressive would not cover a penny. I had the documentation of me paying, along with them crediting back my account for the same amount and they refused to acknowledge, yet they refused coverage - also very shady. Be careful with this company. They’re the best value, but you’re “effed” if you’re not on top of payments

Changed payment method without my consent Everything was good until out of nowhere this month my credentials were somehow mixed up and you had a card on file that wasn’t mines and I never changed it, I had to manually type in my account and routing number, overall this app is not helpful and neither is progressive insurance, as soon as I am able to I will be switching.
