Medium opportunity (64%)
People trying to control distracting websites and apps cannot rely on current blockers to enforce their rules consistently. Common failures include broken timers, incomplete blocking, weak uninstall protection, device-sync problems, excessive permissions, and global settings that interfere with legitimate sites. Easy deactivation defeats the buyer's core goal of creating dependable friction against impulsive use.
Build a cross-device distraction firewall with per-site profiles, allow-only sessions, usage allowances, scheduled blocks, and deliberate exit challenges. Rules synchronize through encrypted configuration data while page contents, email, and browsing history remain inaccessible to the service. Enforcement begins with a browser extension and desktop companion, followed by supported mobile controls, with transparent diagnostics showing why a rule did or did not activate.
Recent reviews across multiple established blockers show that reliability, privacy, synchronization, and bypass resistance remain unresolved together. Growing use of multiple computers and phones makes device-specific configuration increasingly ineffective.
