Consultants, analysts, and technical researchers repeatedly collect webpage text, links, and documents for later use in client work. Existing clippers often lose source attribution or formatting, fail authentication, depend on a web app instead of the preferred desktop tool, and provide weak bulk organization or export. These failures force users back to manual copying and create uncertainty about whether important evidence was preserved.
Build a browser-based capture bridge that saves selected text, page snapshots, source links, annotations, and tags into a durable local queue before sending them to destinations such as OneNote, Obsidian, Notion, or Google Drive. Start with a narrow professional workflow: technical consultants capturing evidence into client-specific folders, with retryable delivery, faithful formatting, duplicate detection, and an audit trail. Offer migration and workspace setup as a paid onboarding service while the connector product becomes repeatable.
Recent reviews show established clippers becoming unreliable or unsupported while professionals still depend on browser research capture. The growing fragmentation of browsers, desktop note tools, and cloud repositories increases the value of a destination-neutral capture layer.

Very satisfied user of Obsidian. This is my TOP 3 favorite extensions! I use it whenever my AI/LLM agent cannot read a webpage using the Playwright CLI or use the Defuddle skill (both from GitHub). My web-clipper settings are such that it barely needs many clicks, once I have opened the extension. Within just a couple minutes or less, I can save it → give it to said agent → webpage ingested. The MAIN Obsidian app & many of its Core AND Community plugins are also g
The clipper is excellent. Vastly better than OneNote Clipper. It is important to check clipped content as sometimes it does not render and you must reclip page; if the first attempt fails, I find the second attempt always works (first attempt fails maybe 10% of the time). Once clip does fully appear in Obsidian it is perfect.
Why I can’t use the highlight function I have been using liner on windows and they worked perfect there although AI summarize function was little annoyed. Now, I got an ipad and I found Liner is on iOS too, so I was trying to use it for highlighting again to only find out it doesn’t work here. The biggest reason that I’m subscribing its function is to mark on the web site and I wish I could do the same too. I don’t understand why iOS liner team decided to replace the app’s identity instead of adding a new feature to the original function.
