Local service operators repeatedly pay substantial fees to unlock prospects who never respond, have unrealistic budgets, submit accidental requests, or cannot be reached. Because charges occur before intent is verified, contractors lose both acquisition budget and follow-up time without a credible path to a booked job.
Operate a managed appointment-setting service that captures local demand, contacts each prospect, confirms identity, location, scope, timing, and budget, and schedules an estimate with a suitable contractor. Charge for an attended appointment rather than a raw lead, with automatic replacement when the prospect is unreachable, materially misrepresented, or absent.
Repeated complaints across competing marketplaces indicate that pay-per-lead economics have become increasingly painful for small operators. Human-assisted qualification can be launched as a focused service before investing in marketplace or software infrastructure.

scam app for money only, sends you leads out of your budget and service area yet still charge you and don't answer your phone call or messages right away. phone calls are redirected to a chat line that stalls your request for days so you are lead to pay the leads that are clicked for you. ridiculous app.
Messages tab rarely ever loads. No relevant choices to submit a lead for credit. They hit you with a bunch of irrelevant leads. Many users are tricked into signing up to Angi. They don't even know that they signed up to Angi when we call them. HomeAdvisor was much better and less expensive
